A Resolute Witness

In clay circles, porcelain has often been called the diva. It needs mollycoddling.... one needs to be attentive in touch & responsive in its needs; none of which I am good at. So expectedly my porcelainous works at this show will invite arched eyebrows! Hues of blues in my collection here may connect the dots in the story line or the handling of the material and subsequent soda firings. I’ve taken delicate figurines from my mother’s travel collection and refired them by building stories around these objects.

The collection also has two pieces from my Unidentified Frikin’ Objects series (the UFO series). And lastly for those who want functionality, there are my saké cups sets with Far Eastern cobalt transfers reminiscent of dynasties gone by!
